Donor-Advised Funds

Donor-advised funds (DAF) is one of the fastest-growing charitable giving vehicles. It is easy and provides tax-advantageous ways to support a charitable organization. After making a contribution to your DAF, you can recommend grants to qualified non-profits at any time.

Through your donor-advised fund, you may recommend a fully tax-deductible grant to the YIVO Institute for Jewish Research to support archival projects, educational or public programming, or to join or renew as a member to help sustain our work across the organization.

Organization details for your grant recommendation:

Legal name: YIVO Institute for Jewish Research; Federal Tax ID (EIN) 13-1641082.

Please be aware that IRS regulations and DAF sponsor policies prohibit the use of DAF grants that include non-deductible goods or benefits (ie. events, tickets, and tables).

To make a gift through your DAF, contact your institution’s representative (i.e. Vanguard, Fidelity, etc.) to initiate the gift.

Please contact Melissa S. Cohen, Chief Development Officer, if you have any questions at (212) 294-6156 or via email mcohen@yivo.org.
